Looking at China: Clean Energy Helps Rural Revitalization

　　On December 9, 2023, walking into Jiangkou Village, Luzhou Township, Shanggao County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, power workers were taking advantage of the sunny weather to seize the construction period and assemble photovoltaic panels at a 50MW fishing and solar complementary photovoltaic base. This project utilizes the pond water surface of Jiangkou Village and Guoxi Village in the township to build a photovoltaic power station, achieving integration of water storage irrigation, photovoltaic power generation, and fishery and aquaculture.

　　In recent years, State Grid Gaoxian Power Supply Company has taken the initiative to plan and cooperate with the local government to actively utilize rural barren mountains, collective building roofs, and idle ponds to develop the distributed photovoltaic industry according to local conditions. Waves of sunlight are converted into DC current through blue photovoltaic panels, and then converted into AC current through inverters, becoming a continuous source of clean energy that is integrated into the national power grid and delivered to thousands of households.

　　To support the national "dual carbon" goal, Shanggao County fully utilizes the existing idle rural resources, vigorously develops green and clean energy such as photovoltaics, and continuously converts solar energy sources into electricity. The current installed grid capacity of photovoltaics is 78.14MW, depicting a beautiful picture of ecological economy helping rural revitalization. (Zou Xi, Chen Qihai)
