Looking at China:The beautiful migratory birds in Yaohu Wetland come into the picture
On the banks of the Gan River, thousands of birds return to their nests. Spectacular scenes of migratory birds migrating are being staged in Yaohu National Wetland Park, Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province. Crowds of migratory birds, sometimes foraging, sometimes playfully chasing, complement the sunset, lake surface, and grassy land, painting a beautiful picture of wetland winter charm.
Yaohu Lake is a typical freshwater lake and floodplain wetland, with a total wetland area of 2199.24 hectares. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of Yaohu National Wetland Park, the number of wild birds in the lake area has been increasing. As of now, there are more than 20 species of overwintering birds in Yaohu National Wetland Park, with a population of tens of thousands, including national second level protected birds such as the swan and goose, as well as third level protected birds such as the blue headed diving duck and the phoenix headed diving duck.
In order to protect the safety of migratory birds during the winter, State Grid Fengcheng Power Supply Company organized personnel to use modern intelligent technology and innovate the construction of distribution line channels to achieve harmonious coexistence between birds and the power grid.
